We would like to pick up some comments from our residents’ reviews and introduce them here.
Name of the sharehouse: Enoshima & Kugenuma – etoile de mer (Hitode-ken) –
Resident’s name: Ms. KANAKO
Q. Please share stories about a good experience (fun, inspiring, etc.) of living in a Hidamari’s sharehouse.
A. It was the most enjoyable “Stay Home“ experience, surfing with Mr. and Mrs. Minami and all the sharemates, and having lunch on the wooden deck with a beer from noon. And everyone is like a family, and we immediately have a party when we get together (*´∀`). Whenever we had a day off, we went for a picnic at the beach or went on a small trip, and we had a really meaningful and fun time! (Excerpt).
Q. What’s important in living in a sharehouse and why?
A. I think it is very important to have fun and be kind to people around you. (Excerpt).

A. The staff responded promptly when my wifi malfunctioned while working at home during the Corona pandemic. I felt the kind words and warmth whenever I contacted the staff. (Excerpt)
Q. What’s important in living in a sharehouse and why?
A. I think it’s to have good manners, greet people with a smile, and return items to their proper place. Be aware that you are renting the space, not just using it for yourself.

Sharehouse review #3: Thoughts on living in a dormitory
Name of the sharehouse: Sharehouse Hidamari Komazawa
Resident’s name: Mr. Minowa
Q. Please share stories about a good experience (fun, inspiring, etc.) of living in a Hidamari’s sharehouse.
A.A. This is not limited to Hidamari, but it’s to mingle with various people. It is interesting to talk with people with different backgrounds and ages.
Q. What’s important in living in a sharehouse and why?
A. Communication. Of course, since you live with someone together, it is often better to communicate and get to know each other. It also lowers the hurdle for forgiving others when problems arise. Sometimes it is surprisingly important to have a meal together in order to communicate.
Q. Please let us know if there are any advantages unique to dormitories.。
A. Dormitory rooms are shared with others, so it is almost like a lottery (laughs). If you get into it with the people you share a room with, your life will be more interesting than in living in a private room. If you don’t get into it, it’s just… (laugh). Also, since your space is small, you can naturally become a minimalist.
The review above is based on the interview to Mr. Minowa. Thank you for cooperation.

How is a sharehouse really like? Is it fun actually?
There are multiple advantages to living in a sharehouse, but according to the reviews we introduced, there are three advantages.
・Have friends to eat and play with
・Greet with others, like “I’m home” and “Welcome home”
・Enjoy small things in daily life with others
When living alone, you basically live alone at home, including meals and housework. But, you can spend time with someone else in a sharehouse.
Time that you used to feel lonely may turn into enjoyable time by living in a sharehouse.
It is also attractive to have lights on in a house when you come home at night and to have someone to say “Welcome home” for you.
Probably those who live alone have not heard the word “Welcome home” for quite some time. Another benefit of living in a sharehouse is that you have someone to share your daily life with, such as casual conversation.
On holidays, you can watch movies or play games together, and as you get to know each other better, you can make even more memories.
Characteristics of people who are recommended to live in a sharehouse
People who are particularly suited to live in a sharehouse are those who fit into the following three categories.
・People who like to talk with others
・People who feel lonely living alone
・People who want to share their daily life with others
For those who enjoy talking to people, living in a sharehouse is sure to be fun. Please talk to the people you live with and try to expand your circle of interaction.
Among them, living in a sharehouse is especially recommended for those who feel lonely living alone.
Having no one to talk to when you come home and doing housework alone in silence would make you feel lonely. By living in a sharehouse and doing things like cooking, eating, and cleaning with someone else, you can spend meaningful time that you used to spend alone.
A sharehouse is the perfect place for those who want to talk to someone about the little things that happen in their daily lives, like “It’s hot today…” or “Is it going to rain tomorrow?
Having someone to share a little things with will make you feel more comfortable.
